OeEB was founded in 2008 as the development bank and is headquartered in Vienna, Austria. It is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Oesterreichische Kontrollbank (OeKB). It works on behalf of the Austrian Ministry of Finance to support commercially self-sustaining projects in the private sector of developing countries and emerging markets and supports the mission of Austrian Development Corporation. OeEB has three focus groups: Renewable energy, financial inclusion/micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSME), and infrastructure.
