2024 Heavy Industries Benchmark

The World Benchmarking Alliance’s Climate and Energy Benchmark measures and ranks the world’s 91 most influential heavy industries companies apart of the sub-sectors aluminium, cement and steel on their alignment to a low-carbon world. The 2024 benchmark is the first iteration and the assessment combines the ACT (Accelerate Climate Transition) methodologies and the WBA social and just transition indicators. This approach provides a holistic assessment of companies’ efforts to achieve a low-carbon transition that is just and equitable.
