Module 2, Material investment, is relevant for companies in the benchmark which operate as property managers. This module assesses companies’ actions to reduce the emissions arising from the operations of buildings they manage. Past and future trends of emissions intensity (kgCO2/m²) are compared to the companies’ 1.5°C pathway, and the ‘locked-in’ emissions are compared to the companies’ carbon budget on a 25 years-time horizon.
